'Nem growth

How fast to carpet 'nems normally grow? I had a condy that didn't grow much at all but now I'm looking into carpet 'nems and rock 'nems.

It is all truely dependant on how much you feed and available light in the tank.

Under just enough light to keep the species and light to no feeding, you can expect an S. gigantea to grow rather slowly.

But with very intense lighting and heavy feeding you can see them double in size in a matter of months.

S. Haddoni grow at a similar pace with similar circumstances.

I do not know how carpet anemone and rock anemones do together so I couldn't advise you on that but just keep in mind that true carpet anemone (S. Gigantea) can grow to be quite large (20+ inches)

Thanks for the info! Right now I have a Power Compact over my tank but I'm planning on building my own LED fixture once I upgrade. What kind of spectrum would I want? I'm planning on predominantly blue light for my zoanthids but that could change since I want to build the tank around the 'nem.

The rock 'nem I have was a hitchhiker but is pretty tiny right now so I doubt that would be an issue. I'm not even sure if it is a rock 'nem. About an inch or so in diameter. I'll add a quick picture. I took the picture about 10 minutes after the rock was in the water. The rock was dry/damp for quite a while.
