I was very ignorant about controllers until this week when mine arrived. I LOVE IT! Should be placed on everyones list of standard equipment!
as allways- you have to hear the bad side..Had I known mh light required a DC4 heavy duty I would have ordered it along with the ACjr. Can I still get it at discounted price? (maybe a PH probe and cal. solution) ?

I'm debating this as well. I'd be interested in the controller, the DC8 and a ph probe. Please let me know if there's a package or group buy. I don't particularly care about serial ports.

Hi,

I think you can only control with the AC Jr. maximum 12 contacts, so you will only need one DC4, but I am not very sure my friend.

I read it, and can't remember, but after setting it up I don't know why you couldn't control upto 64 contacts. You can select A-D and 1-8 and 9-16 which would make for 16 of each letter or 64. But not sure if you can program that many into it or not?

I just wanted to add, I've been using my ACJ for 4.5 months now, and I can't say enough. The price was awesome, and it's running my 75 absolutely perfectly. When I move everything to the 210 it's going to be controlling that. I'll just add another DC-8.

Lighting controller, wavemaker, feed timer, etc. Make this thing worth WAYYYYYYYY more than it costs.

FYI the Jr. can only control 12 devices, so if you have a DC8 already you're limited to using the DC4 or DC4HD.

Hi,

The original junior's were without back-light and without serial port. This thread is pretty old. So those are both included now which was about 60 bucks in upgrades. we just found that 90% of the people wanted backlight and serial upgrade, so we just carry those now.
