Neptune WAV - anyone getting it?

Yes, if the temp is too high it is likely ready for cleaning. It also will send you an alert if it stalls, has high/low voltage, or comes out of position.

Without a doubt, just a matter of time till I get one....been saving the pennies for a bit now. I'm just torn between the Jr and full apex. I can get by with the jr, just worried about the future and upgrades. ...and possibility of selling myself short.

But as Ben showed...possibilities virtually endless on how and what you can control

Now that neptune upped the number of modules the Apex JR can handle to 7, it is a real option for many systems.

Honestly Stash I suppose the sheer amount of control does make them worth the price. If I get 3 WAV pumps and use 2 of my existing SICCE's That would meet my flow needs quite nicely.

Got mine setup, with my 60g cube, I an only set it to 1% max, otherwise water splashes everywhere. Fish and coral loves the flow though, tank is getting smaller it seems lol

I'm bumping this thread as this is the most conversation around on the WAV. and I am considering getting one.

I already have a Gyre and a Vortech but I travel some times up to 5 days a week and the ability to monitor everything from the temp to the flow of my pumps remotely is probably too good to pass up.

Any updates?

I agree, I haven't seen a lot of discussion about the WAV. Even the neptune forum doesn't have a lot of discussion about them, other than a bit of trouble shooting.

It's only a month in, but I'm still loving them. I'm currently running:

0000-0500 20% rincon right and 20% inverse left
0500-1000 20% rincon left and 20% inverse right
1000-1200 33% pulse, 5
1200-1430 33% malibu
1430-2000 55% mavericks
2000-2200 40% malibu
2200-2350 33% pulse, 2

The only changes that I've made to the programming recently have been to dial things down. It was a little too much flow for my torches and zoas.

I really like the pipeline mode, but the on off of the pumps does make a noticeable noise (like a click) when using that mode. It's the only time that the pumps are at all noisy.

I probably had a harder time figuring out the inverse mode than I should have. If you set inverse to 100% and the master pump to 20%, you will get the exact opposite (master at 20% and slave at 80%), but if you set them both to 20% then they both run at 20%. I set it up at 100% initially and was really moving some water around in the middle of hte night

I just ordered a wav started kit along with the WXM to control my vortech, an ICECAP to control my Gyre and even the 10v module to control my Jaebos.

..........i think that about covers flow.

Well, no, i will most likely get the Neptune DC main pump for the 3rd I Link pump and a FMM control module....

Apex basically owns my tank and i still haven't even got everything.

Same here - I put it on a 45 frag. Jeez, too much flow. I only leave one running. Looking to upgrade in the near future.

Wav

Wav

I just bought and hooked up 2 wav pumps to my apex gold. Wasn't hard to do and it had a lot of presets I think it was one of the easier setups on the system. I like them.
