New 220 gallon build

No problem Adam, there is one here...

I redid the rockwork today. Since no one jumped on the huge rock I decided to try and use it in a way that would allow more corals and also drilled about 150 holes into the rock for pods to hang out and the added surface area it created.

So...before the work

Still before the work, the huge (200+ heads) duncan colony is in the center of this shot...the 200 head is a guess considering how many were on the little colony I sold yesterday

I had to take the outer lights down to get the large rocks out

Oh, the purple POC in the upper left was the most damaged coral from the day...should have about 100 baby colonies growing in the tank after I dropped a rock on it you can see the damage pretty good in this shot

 that's the first thing I thought, when I saw that pic! I'd be a dead man!

The system looked great before, I think it's really gonna be insane when all that SPS grows in. That duncan is HUGE and you're getting quite the nice little acan garden as well. Keep up the good work!

Been real busy, that is why my lack of posting...

new kid
was working a third shift job for awhile

...excuses excuses I know

Anyway, my Ocullaris are a bit over a year old and have spawned for the first time. Kids have enjoyed watching the eggs over the past week...although only a few remain and have eyes. I did not move them left them to be and never pulled the camera out.

Yellow clown gobies seem to spawn about once per month, although they did not or at least not where I noticed in November yet.

Have not been able to pay much attention to the tank lately and noticed the temp this morning was 75, lower than anything should allow so went downstairs to find two of the heaters were unplugged...don't remember unplugging them for any reason but plugged them back in and was up to 78 in no time.

My Duncan was simply too huge and taking up too much room so I fragged it today, about a third of it will remain in the display the other two pieces will be for sale. Rearranged the rockwork trying to make some more room for things, so have some other frags from breaking SPS...again

Oh, I will take some tomorrow.

Forgot one other tidbit.

Cleaning out the tank today and decided to clean the overflow areas...the one on the far side of the tank was a aptasia forest...so I shut the system down and dumped a ton of caulk into the overflow killing them all the pods and about 5 snails that were hanging out in there (insert evil laugh here)

I had wondered why there were three aptasia's that showed up in the display three different occasions over the past several months. Hope the issue does not spring up larger than what I have seen.

Well, its been a couple months since I posted any photos...so here is a photo update.
