New 240 Gal Tank Pic

For the coat check girl but I'm not sure the wife would like that addition. :hmm2: And I think it may cost more per addition than my reef tank too!

awesome job so far. i cant beleive how similar it is to mine.

- is that the greenboard drywall aruonf the tank? or did you just paint it?

- what's the size of the tank (I didnt see that yet). Trying to plan how many people will have to help me move it. i think you said 6 was more than enough (mine will be a 220). did you also say you slid it down the steps?

Tank is 240 gal 8x2x2. Yes I slid it down the stairs and 6 people should be fine.

lonnie, you coming over to help me plumb the 375, that looks great!

Let make sure it works first.. HAHA!! :D Little nerves have seen some tanks crack due to stress from the plumbing so I'm trying to keep it where it is not stressed at all.

I just bought the stuff to make a pulley system for the light tonight. Hoping to have everything setup by the end of this weekend.

When you are done, you will need to have a New Tank Party...

I'll bring the beer.

I'm in the process of framing a similar 240 glasscages in wall also, so keep the pictures coming.

Okay if this Camera got any worse I could draw these myself.... and I can't draw..

Here is a pic of the Hirock in the tank. I Really like the rock it looks great.. I think once life starts growing on this it will look 20x better than the live rock I have now.

I got my skimmer today and it was dropped :( I think it is overly packed (to tight) no room to give inside the box. Hopefully new skimmer will be here next week.

Lookin' good -- that's a lot of rock! That piece in the middle looks huge, what is that piece, like 40 pounds or something? You're investing in this huge tank, I think it's time to invest in a really nice digital camera too...:D

No it a couple pieces but together it just looks big.

Camera - You sound like my wife.

Wow, Lonnie...you're movin' up in the world. A post by the famous RJWilson. He has a very popular thread that I followed before I met all y'all. He also has an awesome tank (although quite overstocked...)with T-5's.

So I don't end up hijacking this thread, Hey Lon, how's the tank coming? Got any more pics yet?

Thanks guys.

I feel like it will never be done....

The new tank is now acclimating with the sump, and all the old live stock from the last tank. So I should be moving everything over in a couple of days. I don't have any more pictures. I still need to hook up my lights. But I want to make sure I'm ready to move the livestock over since I'm using most of the lights on the sump now, and don't want to mess with the canopy that I'm putting on a pulley to raise it up and down. I want to do it one time and be done with it.
