new aqualifter leaking?

Never owned one of the before, testing it in the sink, it leaks from red plastic sometimes. Intructions say can move water 30" high, if I lift the exit above the lifter itself it stops pumping and just starts leaking. Anyone have any experiance with these?

Hmm. I've used these for years and the only time I noticed leaking was after time the tubing would crack at the connection. Causing a slow leak. Did you check your tubing ?

Yea, its brand new tubing, fits very tight. I am returning it, will try another. Was curious about others experiences, as this was my first I must say that I'm less than excited about this thing being responsible for the chance of putting water on my wood floors.
