New camera, new pictures

I think it may be from sohal slashing as well, but that was just my initial reaction after seeing it be aggro towards the goldheart.

I dont think they are from the Sohal, and yes Worrballer, I know about tangs and their tails ;)

They arent slashes and they arent really pokes, its like little rub marks. They arent getting worse or better really, they were just there one day and they havent gone away, it's been about 2 weeks now.

Wow, Recty awesome pics. Too bad the sohal's being so aggressive. And once again-I absolutely love that picasso
Well here are some more pictures I got today of him ;)

These two are cropped pictures so you can see the pixels a little more, but the rest of the picture was just a waste of space so I cropped it out, heh.

Are these last 4 pictures really dark for anyone else? Apparently my screen at home is a lot brighter than my one at work, here at work they are way too dark.

Yeah, I can adjust it at home too but then it looks too overexposed. It's just weird because my LCD at home they look great on, but the one here at work they look too dark. I'm just wondering which LCD isnt "normal", my one at home or my one at work.

I don't know. I have one of those Apple Cinema Displays at home and pictures always are brighter on it that this thing I have here at work. At work, the ones I adjusted look fine on my 17", but when I move the window over to my 15" they look too light and faded. (I use 2 monitors connected).

They last 2 were a little dark but the first 2 looked pretty good. The shading on the first two were actually really cool so I think the darker "exposure" actually benefited them. But then again I'm not really picky :)

I "snuck up" on my fish at night, this new camera can flash about 3 times a second apparently so I was able to get some good shots before the fish really knew what was happening :) Nothing great, but the best night shots I've ever gotten.

Those are some good looking triggers. It looks like we have about the same tatse in fish. Love those triggers.

My redtooth had the same type of marks also. I think it is from chasing my blue jaw and hitting the live rock. Does your picasso let you pet him? Mine will come to the top when i open the hood and let me rub him with my finger. I think he may just be begging for food though.
Great pictures and some good looking fish. jt

Here is a decent picture of my new wrasse... and yes, those are trigger bite marks on his side. He got picked on the first couple days but now is fine.

My hard to catch Sohal... I'm using a flash in these pictures in this post so the Sohal and the Niger's blue coloration are not true to life.

I love this shot, you can count the scales on the Humu's face...

Love your wrasse. What kind is it? I gather it is a non-reef safe wrasse that be aggressive enough to hold his own with the triggers. He really is gorgeous. :fish2:

I have a Mystery Wrasse and a Melanuras Wrasse but they are both smaller, reef safe wrasse. They are in my 90 gallon friendly tank.

Thalassoma lucasanum, the Rainbow or Lollipop wrasse, whichever you prefer.

And yes, most of the Thalassoma species can hold their own against other aggressive fish :) This guy is no exception. The first couple days he got picked on a little bit, but nothing major, he just dived into the rocks a lot. Within a couple days, he was chasing the humu away when he came up, and within a couple more days no one bothers him at all.
