Yes- Lobophyllia.
Coral growth can and usually does accelerate after fraggings (IME).
I've seen cases where a fragging puts a certain coral into a kind of torper where it stops growing, but that's rarely the case.
I'm anticipating an explosion of growth in the next few months for several reasons, among them is the northward tracking of the sun as we approach spring. Soon it will be the time of year when my aquarium gets drenched in sunlight :)

So far it seems to me that the slower growing corals like torts go into a healing process before they start sprouting, whereas other coral types seem to accelerate when fragged. I don't have enough experience to give any reasonable data yet.

And my tank is about 50% aquascaped by broken pieces. Moslty due to a maroon clown with a bad attitude. She hates most corals.

Gary what happened to the Bartlett's Anthias? What do you think is the best kind to get in your opinion? Thanks!

I've seen brown Giganteas before.....thats far from brown IMO...

Nick

thanks for that info Nick but I really don't care what color a vendor calls their anemones.
I do appreciate when vendors ID their livestock by species name and not just color.

and now.... back to our regularly scheduled program :)

Gary-

Do have one P. fridmani or do you keep a pair?
I had a pair. They were spawning but one of them died for some reason.
Here's a green polyp Sarcophyton that I got at the recent URS garage sale meet.
The jury is still out on whether or not my Emperor will leave this alone.
