Wow! A teenager!!! Have you had it in QT since the juvi stage?Best of luck!
John
teenager is right- you can barely see the juvenile markings.
It's been in QT for a little over one week at MO. (I guess that answers your question, jimmer!)

Very cool fish! As soon as I saw your LPS for sale I knew it was going to be an emperor. They are truly amazing!! Congrats…

The tank looks stunning Gary. Love the Imperator: possibly the most striking fish in the hobby. Tha anthia school is very cool as well.

Thanks, Jerry.
Because they're heavy feeders, Anthias are better suited for a soft coral reef aquarium (IMO & IME).
I don't want to see you get out of growing SPS, but that's my honest opinion on Anthias.
The Wrasses are more interesting to watch than the Anthias. They "flash" different colors depending on their mood. Unfortunately, it's next to impossible to capture a "flashing" in a picture.

I know what you mean on both counts gary. In my early reefkeeping days I had a solitary male Lyretail Anthia that had to go back to the LFS since his piggish ways imposed too big a bio demand for his 29 gallon tank. I do miss my Carpenters Flasher Wrasse. He was a trip but unfortunately wound up in an overflow:(. I always thought a harem of them would be great and the male would be inclined to keep flashing. Good wrasse photos are next to impossible since they never stay still. I figure that why God made Pajama Cardinalfish.

That's funny :D
Another funny (that's true!) : Anthias get up early and are insomniacs. They swim until the actinics go out.
Wrasses sleep late and go to bed early. I guess all that flashing tires them out.

I had to frag my green A. millepora because it was shading another coral so I started another colony on the tip of some Tonga branch. I can't wait to see how a low diversity SPS aquarium looks after a few more years.

Another Imp guy.....Had to jump on the bandwagon eh Gary? I am supprised you with a sub-adult. I have heard that they are more likely to be nippers.

Are you feeding any sponge?
