New Clownfish Won't Eat

So I just purchased an Ora Percula Clownfish. I got him on Friday and so far I have not seen the fish eat. It isn't acting unusual i.e. gasping for air or swimming erratically, etc. I've tried mysis and brine shrimp, flakes and pellets. I even tried soaking the mysis and brine shrimp in some garlic. Nothing seems to spark the fish's appetite.

Here are are my water parameters:
Salinity: 1.025
Temp: 79*F
PH: 8.1
Alk: 10.0
NH3: 0.00
NH4: 0.00
Nitrites: 0.00
Nitrates: 1

My Ora sharknose goby and my McCosker have ravenous appetites, so I'm not sure what is going on with the clown. I thought that perhaps it might be intimidated by the McCosker, but even when I try to spot feed it's not interested.

Any advice or tips?

Thanks.

It's not unusual for some fish not to eat for a few days to a week after being shipped or even just from going from an LFS to your house. I wouldn't sweat it just yet and keep offering the food. Adding garlic IMO is a good thing, or you can try Selcon.

My clowns like mysis and NLS pellets best. Oh and now I think their favorite food is the LRS frenzy product.

Please post a picture of your McCosker's wrasse. I'm probably going to add one and I really enjoy seeing them. I'll have to order one online as the only LFS local to me (within 2 hour round trip drive) is Petco. :(

Thanks for the advice. I'll continue with the feeding as normal and continue to add garlic.

Here's a pic of the McCosker.

Glad to help!

Jake, that McCosker's is Beautiful!!!!! Can't wait to get one. I'm having spine surgery on Thursday so I'm not ordering any new livestock until after I'm fairly healed up. It's enough that I've got a local reefer buddy that will be doing my wc's for the next two months or so.

The clownfish is eating now. Today i didn't use garlic and the fish went straight after several pieces of mysis shrimp. Thanks for the tips to just wait it out and not worry.

I don't know why garlic is supposed to make fish eat more? My fish hate it.
Best food for clownfish is Cyclops or other copepods - it's what they eat in the wild and so far I haven't had a single one not going for it. (unless they were on the brink of death)
