New DD male scribbled angel

Live aquaria has more Male XXL scribbleds available out of their California warehouse. I received mine today. I looked for the bumps on the sides. Not very noticeable. He hasn't eaten yet but picks at live rock. I'm hoping this fish does better than my last scribbled.

Anyways, for anyone who is interested, they are available for sale at the moment.

I don't quite understand why LA is charging $699 for the XXL scribbled male. It seems pretty expensive to me compared to the $579 I paid for the same size on DD.

I don't kno either - I've been waiting forever to get one so I just bit the bullet. I'm not really happy abou the price but it seems online fish vendors just keeps raising their prices.

Well, it's like god has heard me, when today a 6" female scribbled angel showed up on DD. Of course I had to snatch her too

She's coming on Saturday and I will be QTing her with the male together in my 55g QT, with an egg crate separating them initially.

I love these fish, yours looks very healthy! I have been trying to get two juveniles ever since I lost my pair.

I went this same route when I got my male Scribbled that was in my 300 gallon. I have a good friend that owns an LFS. I paid $275 for a 5.5" specimen. Awesome fish, a real gentle giant with the other tankmates. He would eat out of my hand and would follow me around the tank when I did maintenance. Besides my Bandits, I have never had another fish that had that much personality. I sold him to an RC member when I downsized and I still miss him.

I received my dream fish yesterday and what a beautiful fish. He is very bold as well and was spitting out water and begging for food even in the bag. He came in a little thin so with time I will fatten him up. He's already eating NLS spectrum pellets.

Amazing looking male scribbled. I have what now looks like a half male/female about 7.5" for 3yrs now. It has permanent popeye in one eye. I would really want to pick up a nice male, but the last time i had two in one tank, one stressed out and died. I was forced to pairing them bc my second tank leaked.

awesome.... how are they doing? do you have them both in QT together?

They are doing well. The female is eating Mysis aggressively but hasn't picked up on pellets yet. will probably just need some time. She's showing a slight aggression to the male but hopefully that will die down as time goes on and they pair up.

wow the coloring on that male scribbled is amazing.

I had two and one became an aggressor. I tried every trick in the book and couldnt make it work. Finally when my secondary tank leaked, I was forced to keeping them together. The tame one died the next day.

If I can find one a male on DD for <600 I would go for it.

The colors are truely breathtaking in those pics of them in QT. They are an amazingly beautiful angelfish. Good luck with them!
