New DD male scribbled angel

I received my dream fish yesterday and what a beautiful fish. He is very bold as well and was spitting out water and begging for food even in the bag. He came in a little thin so with time I will fatten him up. He's already eating NLS spectrum pellets.

I got one too. My male came from Liveaquaria in California. It was 8" and looked so awesome. It never ate a thing. It was infected with something. It had mouth sores and intestinal inflamation. Died in 3 days. They immediately refunded my money. The folks at that place provide the best customer service and i will always buy from them. It just sucks cuz i wanted him so bad and it really is horrible to watch one die in my tank.

But on a lighter note, Congratulations! I know that the pic you took doesnt do the fish justice.

Thanks guys. He's about 7.5", which sounds like a big fish, but is still much smaller visually than my 12" French angel. I think scribbled angels top out at 10" in the wild so I don't expect him to grow anymore in captivity.

He's in the QT by himself, and I will start prazipro in a few days. I want to fatten him up quickly as he came in thinner than I expected for Diver's Den quality.

He's a beautiful fish, good luck fattening him up. I too have experienced this recently from DD, but at least he's taking pellets. That's a good first step in the right direction :)

I waited to prazi mine for over a month just to get it fat & comfortable. I'm glad I did - no stress & had the run of the tank. She's a well adjusted specimen now & somewhat tolerant of her tank mates. Very happy for you & keep the updates coming

beautiful fish! i recently got a tanaka's pygmy wrasse from LA. he was floating every which way in the bag, much of the time upside down. wasn't sure what i was gonna see when i put him in my tank but he made a quick turn around and he's doing great. and, he didn't get the memo about being reclusive because he's out swimming around most of the time. :)

looking forward to more pics from you!

Yup, fattening him up is the priority. He is eating very well however, so it should just be a week or two before he gets plump.

Here are some better photos of him, and a video of him eating NLS pellets.

LA has good reputation so im surprised they shipped a fish with mouth sores and internal inflammation. Are you planning on getting another one from them? Ive been thinking about it . I do have a female scribbled so not sure how that will work!

A Beauty. Grats. Looks very healthy. That's great he eats so well at the start. What's your plan for acclimation to your display tank with your other big boys?

they refunded me my money right away. It happens i guess. I am considering another male but they are always snatched up immediately on DD. I have no shot.

And they also sent me a phenomenal red sea regal so Ive def got nothing but good things to say about Liveauquaria
