New Elegance Coral on the way... to dip or not to dip?

Should I treat with TMPCC or not. I ordered an Aussie from the Diver's Den at Liveaquaria and am anxiously awaiting my new baby.

Anything else special I should consider? I am hoping my clowns will not disturb it; they currently host a clam so we'll see.

I can't open the "elegance theory" file, what program do I use?

I got an aussie elegance from the diver's den in january and am extremely pleased with it. I did not do any dips or quarantine on the coral because I didn't want to stress it out. It took about a day to show good, normal extension. It has been very healthy since. By far my favorite coral. Good luck!

Is this the file you are trying to open? http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1109727

If so, it doesn't really apply to the Elegance you will be getting from the DD. That thread talks about Indonesian Elegance Corals. The coral you will receive will be MUCH different than those.

I have never used the product you asked about, but I have dipped many Elegance corals in iodine solutions. I've never had a problem with it.

Hi guys.

Drawman, that is what I want to hear! I've been wanting one of these for a year or so, but was planning a move, etc. so I waited. I had been waching the DD and definitely within a half hour of it's showing up I snapped it up!

I have never dipped anything other than sps in the TMPCC soln. I am a little nervous about dipping it and I may pass. I don't have many corals right now, anyhow. I will continue contemplating. Any who have dipped in TMPCC lmk.

Elegance, that was the file... thanks for letting me know it was for Indos. It is encouraging that you've dipped in I2 solns w/ no probs.

how long did you guys have the elegance for? mine looked like it was going to survive but it died.. ): elegance corals never lasted so long
