New ESL Release

We just published an update to the EcoSmart Live Connection Manager that should solve the lingering issues people are having with discovering and connecting.

If you have already downloaded a recent version (on or after Dec. 11) of the Connection Manager, the software will update automatically. The only intervention that is required is to restart the Connection Manager to install the updates.

The update process guides you through the process. If you are new to EcoSmart Live, you will be required to download the latest Connection Manager when first logging into the site.

Can anyone confirm a fix to this issue? Looks like the program has been saved however it never re-loads the radion after its saved. I left it for about 30 minutes with it saying "loading devices".

Will a restore to factory settings help this issue?

Did you get prompted to install the updated Connection Manager? If not, the net time you log into EcoSmart Live, you should be prompted to download a new revision of the Connection Manager, which should solve the issues you are experiencing.

how long does it take to update the connection manager ?

Can you please describe what steps you took to experience the issue? Does refreshing the web page resolve the issue? Unfortunately each browser has different load timing. We have found that Chrome is the fastest browser with Safari coming in second.

by the way, i'm trying to register for ESL and it keeps rejecting my password ---- any suggestions?

Your password must be at least 6 characters long and contain a number or a capital letter.

before latest update the connection manager was working properly but after that it got broken .

The update that you pm me was working properly but this morning made it to have this issue

Is there a limit to how long the USB cable run can be from the Radion to the computer. I need to run about 30 feet to have a permenant connection.

I ran one that was 20 feet long and did not have any problems so I would say 30' should be ok but theres only one way to find out

there has to be a way to hook it up wireless

usb hub or usb to ethernet

someone has had to have done this before

plug the radion into the adapter and run ethernet cable to router

I figured out how to get my lights working again after the big update.

One thing I noticed was when I was logged into ESL for too long @ idle, it would kick me out of the website. The previous version would disconnect me and I had no ability to reconnect unless I reboot my computer.

Do you guys plan to make is possible to stay connected to the lights @ idle? I would like to keep ESL open at all times.

So refreshing your browser doesnt reconnect you too the site?

We have implemented a 30 minute browser timeout to protect the integrity and security of your profile. If nothing happens in 30 minutes, you will be prompted to stay logged into the site. If you don't respond to the prompt, you will be logged out of EcoSmart Live automatically. This is similar to how banking sites work. You can however leave the Connection Manager running even when EcoSmart Live isn't. We recommend that you open and close both as a unit but it isn't required.

After installing this , i still got prompted to update the connection manager

Hang on, I can't work on my program without having my lights connected? Maybe I want to play/fiddle with the program/settings WITHOUT programming the lights....
