New ESL Release

My lights are now not working. They connect to the connection manager since I was able to do a factory reset from the icon in the upper right status bar of my mac. However when I log into ESL, it just says connecting for a couple minutes and then disconnected and nothing seems to change that. Looking forward to my corals dying with factory settings. yay!

I'm having the same issue since yesterday. Very disappointed and worried, don't want to loose my corals. :headwalls:

Just tried to connect to my 3 Radion Gen2's... Same here... Cant load them up... Haven't tried to connect since last weekend when you went down... Can we get this site stable?

So I can update my firmware and factory reset my lamp via the downloaded connection manager software in the upper status bar of my Mac, but the web based ESL will not communicate or connect. Any ideas anyone?

We experienced a network outage late yesterday and today, partly due to our service provider. Other large websites where also impacted by the same outage, e.g. NetFlix.

Please try to connect again. We apologize for the inconvenience.

You can update the firmware as well as factory reset your Radions using the Connection Manager. Simply plug-in the desired light via USB and select USB Device > Firmware Update & Factory Reset. Please note that you must do this for each light.

I haven't read the whole thread, but is there a reason why light control needs to have Internet service or what appears to be "cloud" service? I've found ESL to be barely functioning and more frustrating.

The standalone Windows program works well enough when I run Windows on a Mac using VMware Fusion (except firmware updates don't work. So why not just made a standalone OSX application?

I am unable to connect to ESL.

All I get is "connecting..." and then it goes to disconnected after a while.

I even tried to unplug my lights and reboot my computer.

Does it work for anyone else?

The server is running fine. Can you try again? Maybe you encountered a network blip.

Can you please explain how the acclimate work and how do I go about getting program?

Acclimation is a gradual ramping of overal brightness/intensity or your lights over a period of time. You can enable it for an existing schedule by visiting the Group Settings tab and selecting Acclimate Timer. Then select the desired duration and starting intensity. Acclimation is only applicable during your daytime points.

For example, if your schedule has 3 points during the day, with brightness values of 50%, 100% and 50% and you select an acclimation intensity of 50%, then on day one (1) of your acclimation cycle, your brightness values would be 25%, 50% and 25%, respectively. Over the acclimation period, your brightness values will gradually ramp up to 100% of their values which in this case is 50%, 100% and 50%. Once the period is reached, acclimation is disabled and your lights run as programmed.

Please let me know if that clears things up.

Hi Shaun,

Im over in the UK and Im trying to use natual mode shallow on ESL. It seems that the timings are all messed up as at the top of ESL the time is correct however when Natural mode is programmed by 6PM my lights are very dim and look like its actually around 9ish.

My time schedule is on at 9am and off at 10pm. Im not sure if this is a timezone issue or becasue i have ammened the preset start and end times. I have read on the Ecotech community forumn a few other people in the UK have the same issue.

I have had to setup the High Growth for the time being as this seems to have the correct lighting schedule. I have done factory resets and calibrations which has not made any difference. I am also running the latest firmware and connection manager.

P.S.

We would love to see Ecotech Marine on Ultimate Reef the biggest forum in the UK.

Cheers Everyone at Ecotech Marine for your support.
