new frag 2 "slugs?" Hitch hickers crawling on them.

I bought my first Zoa frag from my LFS and after acclimating it and setting it down I seen 1 slug/snail like creature crawling pretty fast all over it. It wouldn't leave the frag and venture off into the tank. My first though was nudi branch and yanked him off with tweezers and notice it had a somewhat hard exterior. So I throw him in the trash and went back to the tank and seen another and removed him also. Both were the same but when I looked up nudibranch it didnt look the same as in no spikes on it.

I saved one in a cup to take pictures but it's so small it won't focus. It had a slug/snail body with a flat exterior. Not bulky like normal snails.

Yea that looks like it. Seems I jumped yhe gun and throw one away when theu appear to be reef safe. The one in yhe cup I figured was dead since he was out of the water for some time. He started moving and crawled away.

Everyone, when they saw the title of this thread, instantly knew it was either a stomatella or a nudibranch.

I found 2 more in between the polyps moving around. Im just glad it wasn't a nudi

i have found when it comes to not knowing what the critters are theres no such thing as jumping the gun and throwing something out, chances are, good or bad theres more in there. When in doubt throw it out

Very true, I had to remove hitchikers in my old 120g and it was a pain so as soon as I seen him I got my tweezers out. And your right lol there was few more hiding on this small frag even a brittle starfish and 2 small Asteria starfish.
