New gigantea from LA

No such thing as a yellow gig. My guess is some variation of tan with multicolor accents (purple and green).

I have one like in the first link. It's not yellow, but more of a neon lime green.
Yellow gigs do not exist.
. I know pics do not represent some of the colors accurately sometimes.

Yeah, I would say they are shades of green.
I couls imagine mine looking somewhat like this when fully recovered:
This is how it was before expelling most of it's Zooxanthellae:
But I'm pretty sure it wasn't its first load of Zooxanthellae it expelled.
BTW: can you avoid the bleaching or is that always happening during treatment?

I really think it's hit or miss. None of my nems have ever bleached on me during treatment.

I feel the bleaching is not caused by the treatment but rather by how the anemone was handled and the stage of disease.
There may also be differences in species, some expel their zoox faster than others.
But my suspicion is that it is linked to the collection method and weather anemones are collected with the piece of substrate they are on, manually peeled off or chemically removed.

The gig is coloring up more each day. I would suspect it to be back to its old color soon.
For now I'm feeding it small amounts of Mysis.
It is also interesting to see how the percula affect the shape and behavior of the anemone. Before it was hugging the ground and tight during most of the day. Now it is more open and wider expanded. Almost as if it was trying to hide before and now is less worried because it has some guards watching over it
LA got some gigs in this morning and for a moment I was considering to order another one, but my resources are way overstretched as it is now and so I restrained myself.
When I just checked they were all gone - within hours!

It's eating well - today I gave it two small servings of Mysis and both times it gulped them up.
I also feel the Zooxanthellae are multiplying and dispersing throughout the anemone. There are some small dark patches but for the most part you need to look closely to see that there is actually progress. It may need more food.

It's eating whatever I put into it but so far I haven't seen it poo. Is that normal?
Last night it decided to move a little to the side, I think because I forgot to turn the filter pump back on after feeding the fish.

Get my nems from the only good lfs here. I tell her what i want and she finds it on her weekly LA wholesale trip lol. She keeps them for 2 weeks and if it's healthy i'll take it if not then it stays, it's a good arrangement. Have not had to treat a nem yet knock on wood!
