New LA ritteri

It's got a tear on the oral disk where it looks like tentacles have been ripped off and a few spots on the sides. I don't think it's sick I think it's injured. Mouth is staying nice and tight which I love to see. Overnight into tomorrow will tell us alot on this guy

It will be touch and go. That last photo instills hope. I'm glad you have the antibiotics. That might just keep the infection at bay so the anemones regenerative powers can kick in and repair. Best of luck!

Having both gigs and mags, I definitely think mags are the easier of the two, both in terms of housing and QT.

+1. Most gigs that come from retailers need treatment. Many mags on the other hand can recover on their own without medication given proper conditions.

Will missing tentacles ever grow back? And what about tentacles that look like they have been blown out? From looking at this guy this morning I really believe that it's not sick but had the crap beat out of it somewhere along the way. It's fully inflated except for tentacles missing tips and mouth is tight. The water is as clear as it was yesterday when I put it in the HT and no signs of dead zooanthelle. If it still looks like this tomorrow morning it's gonna get moved to my display. I'm not gonna treat with cipro tonight and see what it does. My thinking is if it's not sick ot will stay like it is now. And moving it to the dt would provide alot more stable parameters for it to heal.

Minh do you think if it stays like it is now that it would be better in the dt with the better stable parameters or should I leave it in the HT. Would you continue using the cipro or stop?

If he is not si k. Fat is fine. No problem for 3 days he should be fine. I think it is all depends on if you think he is sick or not

Live Aquarian rocks. Called them on day 10 said things were looking grim. Day 14 looked even worse called them and told them that. Nem came out of tank. First one I didn't treat. Treated the second one upon arrival. Been good ever since. This little rant is just about customer service.

I did something I may regret doing. It still looks fine. No open mouth, dead zoo, deflate or anything else so I moved it over to my refugium that's connected to my dt. It has alot more water flow and alot more stable water parameters than the HT. It immediately planted it's foot, and started to raise up on its columnand start swaying with the flow. I'm going to hook a camera up to it so I can monitor it 24/7. If it starts looking rough it's going back to the HT that is still set up
