Wanted to post pics of these guys since they are rarely seen this size in the hobby. Found them at an LFS in Atlanta. They came in with some pretty good fin damage but they seem healthy. They are in a 50 gallon QT tank for the next month or more. Here's hoping i don't have any problems with brook this time around.

I shot this with my Point and Shoot and its a bit shaky.

I managed to make them both happy by adding a nem. Happiness didn't last long though, she told him who was boss and keeps kicking him out. I'm hoping this will eventually stop.

Since making the video he has become a lot more persistent and he sneaks in a lot. She still catches him though.

Couple more pics from this morning

They seem to be doing great. No signs of anything to worry about. Based on a couple recommendations i'm going to start feeding them Rods Food and San Fransisco Bay Plankton to help speed up the healing process (lots of protein!)

the bottom pic makes me wonder. I don't know if it is the lighting or the camera, but it looks like the fish has a faint whitish film on it.
I'd watch out if it gets any worse as, not that I have personally owned LATZ, But I have seen them and kept other rare clowns and I'd keep an eye out for Brooklynella.
Anyways, beautiful fish and a nice find! congrats.

Wow not only do you have a pair of latz but you managed to keep a carpet in a BB(?). Please tell me your secret on that one.

Its the way the light is hitting him in the photo. He was faded out on the upper part of his body when he came in. I've dealt with Brook with my last Latz and thank god this isn't that. He does have his share of problems though that i need to worry about. He seems to be doing well though.

LOL, that carpet has been wedged into the rock he's in for about 3 months since i got him. Whenever i move him i just move the rock. He doesn't move from it. So instead of needing to burrow his foot 4 inches into sand to reach the bottom of my tank, he has about a 5" deep wedge in that rock that he burrowed in. Makes it really nice since my new display tank that i'm still working on will be bare bottom so i can just add the rock and ..... instant happiness.

Very nice trio you have going on there So enough! I want a full pic of the carpet and clowns!!:)

I'll get one tonight. Did you watch the video in post #6? You can see it in all its glory.

I got them from Chris at Einstein Aquatics. He got them about a month ago and was planning on keeping them but something came up and i was on top of the list of people to get them if he sold.

I have a lot of work ahead of me, i started feeding them Rods food tonight and they love it. Fat little bellys! :D Plus they are both in the nem now. Still a little aggression but miles from yesterday!

I paid a premium cause they are juvi's. I knew it when i heard the price, but it didn't matter to me cause i'm addicted to this dumb hobby. But you can find them for around $300.00 per fish when and if you do find them. I know Blue Zoo Aquatics has them sometimes. You can check there. Even when they aren't in stock you can get on a wait list.

Beautiful fish! I'm addicted too, but my wife tries to keep me on somewhat of a budget=)That's not as much as I expected.

Yeah, its not the price that gets ya (although they aren't cheap!), its the fact that they are hard to find. Especially two of them.

Update, both are doing well and getting fatter by the hour. Starting to loss that stressed out look. Good to know. She is still being a little nasty at times, but i'm still hoping that given some time she'll accept him as her mate.
