Oh the tanks in the back ground had me confused, after I read that the clowns will be arriveing I then knew that ya didnt...Sorry about that!

How soon will they get the bars?

Im not exactly sure. They look cool though and Im absolutely protective of them. The smaller one has some stress coat blemishes that sorta looked like brook. Ill keep an eye out for it. They seem to be breathing heavy. Might just be acclimating to the tank. They are eating a bit. Put in some formula two and mysis and they gobled it down in moderation. The larger one darts while the other is a bit more submissive.

Only time will tell. I will begin lowering the salinity once they settle.

I've never seen Latz that looked quite like that. That middle bar is patterned more like a A. Polymnus. I don't doubt it any way that they are Latz, it is just really odd looking. They are awesome fish in any case.

Typical of many TR clowns in which the bars haven't fully developed or won't fully develop.

They are settling very nicely. They eat like rabid predators. My only remark is that they are VERY particular about what they will eat. They both like to grab a hold of mysis that's two sizes too big and run away it. They will eat some of it and spit the rest out, looks like the "shell" part (the part you get from a shrimp molt). So thats left to just sit in my filter. Yeah! I have been feeding Reef Nutrition Formula two flake. The flake has to be very fine. So i ground it up and feed it to them. They dart around and chomp at the food. Like Doni said, they are bold.

At first I was kinda mad they were misbarred, but I have grown to love that quality. The bar kinda looks like a soup spoon.:dance:

The only thing im a bit timid about is the lack of submission unlike other clownfish species. It might be hard to pair these guys. They tend to bicker with the lights on and the male (smaller) gets stressed out. No twitching or submission yet. We will see.

I have just a simple 24 inch shop light over the tank. Rusting away like it should and its a bit bright. For now, the only light they are going to get is the natural light in the room. It's a mild light that should keep the intimidation down.

I don't know that they're necessarily misbars. It may grow in yet. I do recognize the source's tank though. ;) They have some leucs for sale right now too.
They just got a bunch of latz in. I am a little surprised to see 'em that small though. Keep us updated - I'm curious to see how the bars develop.
BTW, those have much nicer upper jaws than a lot of the others that were released recently.
Keep 'em cool 75-ish.
