For the operation of an Mitras-Simu-Stick the Mitras-Simu-Driver is required and a GHL ProfiLux controller.

That's AWESOME! I can tell you right now I need ONE of those on my tank ASAP!

Seriously I want one as soon as they are available :)

Nick I can't find anything with LED specific data but one thing we need to note is that this is a "supplement" to existing lighting. This is from the GHL website directly:

Mitras-Simu is normally used a an effect-lamp in addition to the main illumination and is not made to replace the main illumination.

Hi Al,
Yes, this would be a replacement to my T5 which is supplement to the MH. I'm not letting my MH go yet. :P

Key word being "Yet" :)

One day grass-hoppa you will come over to the BRIGHT side and go LED :)

I also plan to add this to my tank as supplemental to the main lights. The difference is my mains are LED so this would handle the sunrise, sunset, lightning, and moonlights which my LED can't manage.

Hahaha. Jumped on the LED bandwagon and went back to MH awhile ago. I don't want to mess with my main light on my system anymore since it's doing well.

Hold your breathe guys, there will be a slight delay they will not be on this shipment but we hope the next.

I read on another site that these can be controlled by other controllers....is this true?

unless you are wanting to add MUCH more blue for example you have no need for the new simu sticks if running Mitras.

Thank you Michael. I didn't take the "Blue Aspect" into account but that makes sense.

I can't wait until these come out. I'm going to have to get one for my RSM130D :)
