New LED Lights

I personally haven't seen this in person, but given that the light source is coming from individual points instead of a contant tube it should still glimmer.

Anyone care to comment who has seen them in an indoor setting?

I saw them and they were indeed nice, and yes you get the shimmer lines. One thing about them pat explained is that after five years or whenever they need to be replaced you have to replace the entire board the led's are on. It's not like you just pull one out and pop a new one in. One thing I liked is that during the duration of the led's life the light given off remains very consistent as well as the par value. But again the price was high and the technology is moving fast enough to make this particular unit probably obsolete within five years. Still nice to see things headed in the right direction though.

It would be cool if they could have a timer that shifted from low to high kelvin and back over the course of a day.
I'm pretty sure they're on a controller, which can dim/brighten either independently.

Like my current 10k/20k MH mix, seemed like you could have the tank whiter/bluer at different parts of the day - something appealing to me, as I enjoy having a whiter/bluer variance.
