So I went to my LFS today and traded some of my things for some of theirs and came home with a nice pair of misbar Polymnus clowns and a blue Haddoni carpet. Man, I heard they were sticky but this was like crazy glue. I know, this is useless without pics but my camera is not working, and will try to post a short video tomorrow.

I'll fill in while we wait for your pics/video, though mine are wild and black ;)

Good deal. Yea, they are crazy sticky, a glove goes a long way if you ever have to touch/move it again.

One of these days I am going to move my green one to another tank and try to get a pair of black polymnus.

Here is a close up of my blue Haddoni and one of my pink skunks.

Looks pretty good.

Are you happy with where the Haddoni is right now? IME, while they will plant their foot on the bottom glass of the tank, they like to do it right at the rock/sand interface.

I did place it closer to the rock near the transition but it seems to have settled here. Its seems happy. There is plenty of room all around so it can grow and fill in. Once settled do they have a tendency to move around alot? I know light and flow are factors. Do you think it knows its not next to the rock? LOL. I thought anemone looked nice and healthy. You are starting to worry me with the "pretty good."

The "pretty good" was because for some reason the video wouldn't play for me -- so just going off the picture.

Excluding the last couple of weeks my blue hasn't moved in over 8 months. Not sure if they know if they aren't by a rock or not, but mine have always preferred to have their foot buried in the sand right under the rock.

Thanks for the input. Sorry the vid did not work for you. I just clicked on it and it plays. I hope it stays stationary but who knows. I was kidding about the rock though.

Yea, for some reason they never load for me -- so I know it isn't you.

And all you can do it hope that it doesn't move. For some reason mine started doing that over the last couple of weeks -- kind of annoying.

I know you were kidding about the rocks, but I swear they know. ;)

Fed its first meal today. Some shrimp soaked in HUFA and it was devoured. I kept BTA's before but their feeding response seemed slow compared to the Haddoni. It also seemed to have greater expansion today.

Yea, they can/will eat very fast, shocking isn't it?

That is great that it is more open now. And if you keep feeding it it will grow very fast. In fact I have slowed down the feedings of mine.

I want it to grow but not too fast. Whats the best way to feed? Once every three days or once a week? Daily is out of the question. My lights should also support the animal. Its under one of two 150w Pheonix MH lamps. Tank is 20". Light is on the tank via legs. I will be bumping PAR soon to 2x150w AB 10k. I noticed the expansion towards the end of the 8 hour PP.

When I first got my blue I wanted it to grow too, so I was feeding it once a week, and it pretty much doubled in size over the course of about 6 months. So, I would stick with once a week, maybe twice.

Hey Todd, I guess the Haddoni knew it wasnt next to the rocks. It decided to go for a walk. I turned off the powerheads, cleared an area near the transition of rock and sand and helped it along via gentle sweeps. I let it settle before turning on one PH. So far so good.

That is pretty funny. But good thinking about clearing a path for it.

And good thinking about only turning on one PH at a time, give it time to settle into its spot.
