I believe blue base green polyp is commonly called "poker star". I would glue the cap at am angle on rubble. Plugs strictly for pieces you intend to prop or trade fast.

I'm sorry. I'm color blind and can't tell you for sure. You could Google image search the name and compare. In my opinion what you have is beautiful and you should just enjoy it for what it is, an entrusting Montipora. Prices vary all over the world but I'd pay what you did in a second for that piece.

I would glue so your growth edge is angled towards the top. Once this is done you can epoxy the Rubble to the rockscape. I apologize if I neglected to suggest the rubble mount. It can be moved if you do it right and it looks more natural.

Good luck and nice score

HAHA there you go. I like that perspective. After all they are all the same coral just different colors. I think... lol

Man I remember the first time I got into saltwater I guess it was around 97 or 98 the only corals I could get my hands on were pretty much brown... Brown palys, brown leathers, brown shrooms.. and I thought they were all beautiful. My centerpiece was the only non brown piece I had. A big blue mushroom rock. Another thing they may have been pretty dull in color but they were nice size pieces (whats a frag?). Not many were over 30-50 bucks either. Anyway fast forward to 2009 and gettin back into the hobby. Everythings alot smaller, alot more expensive, but damn the corals were alot prettier than I ever remembered. Thats my addiction. I tell my wife its better than the booze that killed my old man...

Haha you don't want to know how much I've paid for brown corals.... Too bad for me my wife with her great eyes does!

Giving a destination color pattern a nickname isn't a problem - you'll find me doing the same thing wanting to know if I got a "deal" lol - the people buying your frags will usually let you know!

I just keep buying the morphs we like.... And hope they aren't all brown.... The fun thing with sps though is buying the "cheap no- name" and seeing if I can make its real wardrobe show.

Enjoy your pieces and weekend!

Daniel
