I got a pair of new picasso's today & they look amazing :) They were shipped in freezing temp's & arrived happy & alive.

They are really tiny though, I have a feeling they are going to be in the nursery for several months. OK, no more talking, picture time!

Yes I love the bigger one. I got one of bone's best & a cheaper one because I knew they'd not be out of the nursery for a long time so I got it a budddy.

The other side of them both look completly different.

Here is a top down pic, these little guys are so speedy its hard to get a pic.

These are from bonesreef.com in MN.

HAHA! thats why I got him because of the head markings .. I was thinking achillies & precephonie for his soon to be bride
(spelling?)

OK jov before you get burnt out on pics please take shots of both sides for me. :)

your female is soo nice i cant wait for mine to get here.

eating good today, they really like rods food & their little bellies are nice and full.

They are still skiddish & dart in and out of the PVC to eat.

Is that shape due to inbreeding/selective breeding? Definatley looks peculiar in the head area sort of squashed /pushed in.

Orion are you referring to flared gills?

Some of these fish have slight or alot of flare gill. It sometime difficult to see in picture. The two fish here seem to have some mouth problem that I hope will resolve with better care and nutrition. There are a few people who pay lots of money for fish with extra white marking but very poor body/mouth/gill shape.

Mouth problems? I see absolutly nothing wrong with either fish. No bent gills & no mouth problems, nor do they have pushed in faces.

The mouth open in the bag pic is from the fish breathing heavy from shipping stress.

Jov! You got the gladiator that I was eyeing! Hahaha...congratulations, that one is pretty cool!

I don't understand about conformation? What are you supposed to be looking for in the mouth and gills? If they made it (lived long enough) to the third stripe wouldn't you think they are okay?

Is it so bad if they (not yours Jov) aren't perfect as long as you like them and give them a good life? (don't people come in all shapes, sizes, etc. and live long lives? or is that wrong to think that way?)
