Thanks for the replys

aquaman- thanks for the tip gonna try and rember that.

Carson- No he is not by himself he is with two blue/green chromis and a bursa trigger. The trigger and the chromis's useally hide when he does come out for feeding. The trigger allmost got bit once while eating a chunck of shrimp.

Nice eel....(bonus points for it NOT being a snowflake) j/k

Seriously nice eel, even if he isn't chromis friendly long term...

Thanks for the comments rnelson and lrs078.

Hows the eel doing today rnelson? how big is the eel? got a pic.

Doing good I guess.....he's found one of the 2" PVC tubes and made it his home. Tried to get him to eat but I guess it's too early. I'll get a pic soon.....he's about 18"

I'm worried about my SF though.....she's been hiding for a couple of days now, not normal for her. I can see her thru the rocks and she's still alive, but she hasn't moved from this location in almost 2 days....she was eating really well and now I don't know what to think.....these are my first eels so I don't know firsthand how they act....but I'm worried. Tried to get her to feed tonight and she didn't even move.

Yep, sweet looking eel!!!!

SF has been in there about 10 days....I don't know if she even knows the other eel is in there with her.....anyway, about 20 minutes ago she stuck her head out, so I fed her about 4 pieces of krill.....from the way she took it, I think she's "cured" :D

Zebby finally ate something about 20 minutes ago....he ate 3 large pieces of krill. He has a pretty stout "tug", much more so than Lucille the SFE, but, he's quite a bit bigger than her.

Glad he's eating.....thanks for your advice to be patient.....

Cool glad to hear everything is going well with the eel. Keep us posted as to how it goes. If you think he is strong now wait till he get bigger. Last night when lights were off i watched mine grab onto the return spout and bite it and start shakeing his head back and forth like it was a peice of food. Thought he was gonna break the return line with as hard as he pulling on it. I will have to see if thier is any teeth marks in it.

mtracer- Cool another Zebra owner how long has your son had the zebra? Does he have any pics he could post?

Mike de Leon- Thanks for the complament the chromis's are about 1" to 1.25" not very big at all will try to get a pic of them with the Bursa trigger.
