How to update Euroquatics A1/A1P

Dont space them evenly. Slide them out so they are closer to the sides with less overlap in the middle

With three light fixtures placed over the same 48" tank, we sampled five different brands of LED lights. The balanced spacing was set right at 12" even spacing between all three lights. The optimized spacing proved to vary slightly between each brand of light but in every case, one fixture remained dead center and the outside lights were moved closer to the edges.

I've not had any other issues so, I think it might have just been a freak thing.

As far as how much to I like them, they're growing on me. They are a huge change from MH so, they're taking a bit of getting used to. I originally had the intensity set at 75% at peak day and my anemone was NOT happy. I had to dial them back.

The only thing I'm not happy with, is the fact that I have what I'll call shading in the corners of my tank (40B) with only two fixtures. I use corner frag racks and my Acro frags weren't getting enough light so, I put my actinic LED light bar back on temporarily. I have 3 more fixtures arriving today and I'm going to put a third on the tank with them mounted perpendicular to the length of the tank. So, that should eliminate the shading in the corners.
Awesome to hear. I'm going to try them on my new tank at home I'm setting up. It's 10ft long so I got a couple extra in case I need more coverage. Hopefully 7 will be enough.

Let me know what you think on that size tank when you get it setup. I'm (slowly) inching closer to getting my basement finished and, once done, I'll be upgrading to a 120. Trying to figure out how many of these fixtures to put over that since I an a bit of and Acroporaholic ;)

Will do...I don't do SPS but I'm hoping they will be enough for some monster softies I have.

Oh, they’ll be enough for softies. For 95 watts I was shocked at how bright they are.

My need to get used to them is I’ve been conditioned to the point of source light look of MH for over 30 years. This is just a different look. At first I had the intensity at 75% and my LTA didn’t like that. I lowered it and the nem is happy now.

Figured out the shading issue. I used decorative chain to hang the fixtures. The connector between the single chain (from ceiling) to the two chains connected to the fixture, were not even. This was causing the fixture to not be hanging level:rolleyes:

Don't know if you checked yours on the Apex but with all five channels at 100% it is pulling 115 watts for me.
at 87% is 95 watts
at 75% is 69 watts
at 50% is 30 watts

Nope, I don't really look at that on the Apex. I'm so technically challenged, I don't know that I know how to do that lol.
Oh, reading, you need an EB832 for that. I have an older Apex with just the EB8s.

Haha... yeah I have no controllers at all. I try to keep everything as simple as possible. I was surprised at the max wattage. These units are more powerful than I thought.

Okay, having an issue updating firmware on one of the new fixtures I got Friday. I can connect to 10.0.0.10/rescue.html. I updated the firmware to 2.0. But; when I try to update web hi, nothing is happening???

I’ve tried a factory reset, pressing the select button while power cycling and can’t figure this out. Get stuck here.

Sorry I didn't see this. I did have one fixture way back that did something similar and then self corrected the same way so no clue why really to be honest.
