Took some new pictures of corals that I've had for awhile and some new ones from the Coral Farmer's Market. It's a shame that the acros need to be pulled for treatment, but hopefully they'll survive and come back stronger w/ the same or better color.

Stunning as always, thanks for sharing!

Thanks!

WOW!!! I need to get by ASAP to see this in person.

Door is open, beer is cold.

Why are the acros getting pulled for treatment? AEFW?

Yes, sir. Found them this past week. :( Sucks but I guess it's tough to avoid when you don't have a full-blown coral QT. I've dipped everything in bayer from day one and was very conscientious about looking for eggs but they still got by me.

You can see the bite marks on this frag:

Great Pics, thanks for sharing. Curious what Favia is that in the photo with the Hawkins. Never seen that type of coloring.

Wow..and wow.. I need to learn how to take pix from you! Awesome pieces and great coloration. Did you say beer?

You probably at one point already gave this info out but would you mind sharing camera used, macro lens?

your camera has magical powers,

Thanks! The camera + top down combo has been pretty fun.

Can someone tell me what these "AEFWs" are that are causing problems for this beautiful tank?

Thanks!

Amakusaplana acroporae, the Acropora-eating flatworm

Correct -- they can bring a grown man to tears.

That's PROP's "Malibu Favia" -- it's likely going to be fragged soon since I'll be pulling that rock out to cut off the hawkins.

Thanks Chris! I'm using a Nikon D600, Nikon 105mm VR macro and Avast Marine's topdown photo portal. I shoot in RAW, post-process with Adobe Lightroom and host through Flickr. Would be happy to give you tips/trick for taking pictures.
