Today the Phosphate removers and test kits came in. I have the new High Resolution test kit and the Fe based as well as Al based phosphate/silicate removers. Next week a handful of the 6200 Streams will come in and hopefully more will be behind that, they just started producing them.

I was told the final mold should arrive this week. They would give me an update on availability of that and the wavebox next week.

hi,roget
i am using rowaphos right now...what is the diferent between tunze po4 removal and rowa?
mike

We offer two types, the Aluminum based version- Quikphos is designed for quick removal and should be disposed of within two weeks after being added. The directions suggest using 1.75oz to 50gals of water to start and then after 2 weeks you can double the quantity. Our long term remover is called SilPhos and is an Iron based media like Rowaphos. I think Rowaphos is stronger because it is a much smaller grain, the grain size of Silphos is about the size of coral sand- 2-3mm- mainly for easy handling. For Silphos they say to use 7oz to 250gal of water to start and after a couple weeks you can procede to using 28oz for 250gal of water. Both products warn to never lower phosphate below .015mg/l or coral death may result and to slowly decrease the phosphate levels following the instructed dosages. Silphos is a long term slow acting phosphate and silicate remover. I think the main difference would be cost- both phosphate removers are very competitively priced. $18.69 for (800gm)28oz of Quickphos and $31.83 for (1000g)35oz of Silphos. The main reason we came out with our own is we needed a product of suitable grain size for our cartridges 370,870 and 1670, the competitors products were too fine.

thankx,roger
great explanation as alwast:))
i will definatly try silphos.who is gonna carry it?

p.s. when should i expect my driver?

regards,mike

I think by UPS ground to NY it takes 5 business days and I sent it Tuesday so next Tuesday is when I would expect it.

As for the Silphos, it just arrived yesterday and I expect most dealers will wait to see what the demand is like but I have it here. I know it is a saturated market, we mainly needed it as a solution for people who use our filters.

I don't understand the question. Why would you need a wavemaker if you have two electronic streams and the multicontroller? Do you mean the wavebox?

Anyone of our dealers- Champion or Premium are both near you. They sent a dozen more to me today so they are starting to come in.

How long until the 7095 multicontroller is available? Is it worth waiting for if I don't need moon light control?

Thanks,
JeffP

The wavebox is a nice addition, it keeps detritus suspended and every mm of the aquarium is moving. No doubt though the Streams alone could give you a healthy tank. The wavebox has some drawbacks, it is a bit large, it can shorten tank life due to the extra stress from the waves. Personally I will use one in my tank but they are not a necessity.

The 7095 is scheduled for September or October. The moonlight is pretty cool, it also has a new program and the pumps can switch back and forth every second instead of every minute on the current version. It is up to you, it does cost $40 more than the present model.

hi Roger...

those test kits what kind are they and do you have any info on them?

Thanks
Dave
