Thanks!! It looks absolutely stunning when it's fully expanded in the day.
On a bright note, the green gig has walked around to the side of the island it was on and hasn't moved since overnight. Hoping he likes the spot that he is in because it's a nice one! Looks fully expanded, shaggy tentacles, and a tight mouth...
BTW I just realized that the video I posted sucks.. I need to figure out how to use this stupid camera and give you guys a more accurate look at'em.

Will update the thread shortly... He is actually looking really good, and certainly getting more flow than his original spot.. give me a few minutes and check the other thread.

Just an update on the purple gig since it moved upward a little bit with my help (tilted the rock a bit and got it out the punished flow of the MP40)... I'm going through some weird tank issues, cyano, mini cycle and just can't seem to keep SPS to save my life. Gig, doesn't seem bothered and FINALLY is growing in the large bald patches now that the zoox has come back in every tentacle.. no more bleaching.
He's climbed himself upward, and now during the tank when fully opened up, is about 10-12" even folded, and is about 1-2" below the water. This guy is HUGE.

He is beautiful. Makes me really want to find one, been clearing out one side of my 75 just for a Gig. Hoping my LFS finds one for me

Thank you.. I'm very proud of this guy and the amount of patience and hard work it's taken to rehab him.
Appreciate it.... Now that Zoox is back basically everywhere, lots of new tentacles are coming back it looks like. Can't wait to see how this Gig looks at the end of the year.

Honestly, it's probably grown twice the size when I got it. Right now expanded from top to bottom it's about 11".. This guy is BIG now.. The fact that I am seeing tentacles growing from places that were bare is promising.
Not sure how much it's "grown", but it's large. Color, tentacle length, and posture are what has changed the most.
My ritteri, at times when it is acclimating it will stretch out to check its surroundings. Until it gets totally comfortable and safe with where it is, it stayed smaller. Now it has really increased and is loving life.
Growth of tentacles, is a good thing, full stretching and expansion will help increase the tentacles and overall body size.
My LFS wants me to order one through him, he told me that last time he had one it was close to $1000.... argh...

So freak out day today...
Walked downstairs, lights out, and gig was tiny, and in the rock its foot is in.... It's never been this small.. freaking me out. Lights go on, small small. No gaping mouth, just small..
Nothing changed since last night, and everything in the tank looks marvelous. What I think happened (praying) is when I was putting 20 astreas in my tank yesterday, an astrea or two fell into the tentacles of the gig... They were eaten.. Not sure if it was just the one, or multiple, but regardless this happened at pretty much lights out (the gig never eats at night, just mornings).
So I'm hoping...... praying, he has indigestion and at some point today will poop out a shell or several. There has been no weird behavior, and seems weird it would turn just overnight like that. Updates hopefully to follow.. good ones.
