New purple LTA

I picked this guy up on DD this week. Purple LTA. I forgot to save the DD picture but here's a couple of today.

I turned off powerheads and just have the return lines running. It has been about 4 hours since I put it in the dt and it is just about completely dug in. Maroons have been looking at it but haven't touched it yet.

How long should I wait until I start feeding it? I was going to wait at least a couple of days... I have it in an area with low to moderate flow (when the powerheads are turned back on), would hate for it to move when I turn the powerheads back on!

Also, fwiw my sand bed is about 3" and it's a mixture of smaller sand with some 1/8" rubble.

1) drip acclimating
2) a couple minutes after introducing it to the dt (LED's really messing with iphone camera)
3) about a half an hour later from picture 2 (DSLR) --- this image shows the most accurate coloration.

A somewhat better picture

A somewhat better picture

Here's a picture of the nem tonight. Lights are off, used a single led flashlight on the surface of the water and took the pic. Shows it's actual colors much better. I will get a higher angle next time.

Any advice is always welcome, especially feeding and what to expect when I turn powerheads back on.

Very nice LTA.
Two of mine require very little flow; and I didn't feed them untill they were settle in (after a few monts).

There's been a strange turn of events in the past 24 hours with this nem and my clowns. First off, I have a pair of white stripe maroons. The first day the clowns were checking the nem out, no touching yet. All is well. I wake up on Friday and all continues to be well, clowns getting a little closer and female is beginning to touch the nem.
[keep in mind I put the nem in a spot close to where the clown pair sleeps, where she would excavate sand, etc.] I wake up this morning, the nem is pretty much dug up and there are a couple of loose (detached) tentacles. I'm not sure exactly what happened but it seems the female maroon was biting at it. I didn't have much time (needed to leave) so I basically moved the nem to a different location, further away from where the clowns typically sleep. I made sure to dig a small hole so the nem could begin to feel at home there; and dig into the sand a bit easier. I was pretty pessimistic about it.

The nem took to the new spot well (so far) and tonight the clowns are sleeping in it. I'm still a bit leery because maroons are maroons. Also, I hope my female clown isn't too big for the nem. She's about 3.5" and the nem is 6". This was something I debated when purchasing the nem, but I just couldn't pass on the color (risky, I know).

Pic of tonight under moonlights (moon cycle).
