Your Salinity is a bit low, based on what i read and most knowledgeable people here. carpets do "best" between 1.025-1.026............ although i have kept my blue and green between 1.018-1.020 for a very long time............ now acclimating a red carpet myself, i have to follow the book as i dont want to risk it.

purple around 3weeks but the store hold it 6 weeks

i wanna share mine.. i think my red carpet is smaller than yours its my first red carpet...i fed it after 3 daysmine is 1.5 inchesso far i have it almost a month now

BTW, I lurrrve your threadfin cardinals. I used to have a school myself. Took some time and trouble (and money) to assemble, but IMO there's no prettier schooling fish to keep with corals.
