Hey guys, new to the boards. Getting a friends 75 Gal SW tank with 150 Lbs of Fiji rock, sand, wet/dry,UV,Berlin skimmer and standard lights, cabinet and canopy. 300 bucks so i couldnt refuse the deal~ Anyhow im going to upgrade the lights to PC pref 300+ watts.
Heres my list....
Tomato Clown(in tank already)
Ocellaris clown( in my 29gal tank im taking down)

* wish list
3 blue chromis
lawn mower blenny
Blue tang (to add later)
Yellow Longnose Butterflyfish
Bubble anenome
peppermint shrimp
royal gramma
neon blue goby
McCosker's Flasher Wrasse

Once lighting is in place i will start with the corals.
Any thoughts on my list?

It looks like a great deal. You will need something more powerful than power compacts to keep a bubble tip healthy. And your tank is going to go through a cycle after you move it so don't add any anemone for a few months. (trust me) I would also encourage you to pass on the blue tang. They always get ich. I would guess 80% of the people who post about ich on these boards are referring to their blue tang. And it will get too large for your tank. They can get well over a foot long. I bought my tank with a blue tang, it got ich, I cured it in hypo, and gave it to someone with a larger tank. I would look at other types of fish such as the wrasse you are interested in.

also I wouldn't put the tomato and occ. clowns together they will fight and I will put money on the tomato as the winner.

I'd probably cut back to 6-7 fish from that list, excluding the tang and butterfly. The neon goby, though, for example, is very small, and so it doesn't count as much. The tomato and the blenny might count as somewhat larger.

I would suggest that you upgrade the lights to T5's as they are more efficient and probably will cost about the same as the PC's. Here is one of many T5 threads:

I agree with only one clown, the tank is too small for a tang and the butterfly is not a good beginner choice. Here is a link to some more reef safe wrasses:

I'd wait awhile before adding the anemone. Also, expect the tank to cycle after you move it so don't expect to put the fish back in for some amount of time (maybe days or weeks). You didn't mention if you are getting any fish with the new tank. If so, I'd make arrangements to keep them in large rubbermaid storage bins with heaters and powerheads for oxygen or maybe in your 29 gallon depending on your stocking levels.

Have fun!

When i move the tank im also moving the water with it as well so hopefully it will take some time off the cycle. Im planning on 4 hours from tank break down to tank set up at my house. I plan on taking the tomato clown to my LFS and seeing if they will trade me for the chromis.
