I am not picking on you so please do not take it that way.

What are your nitrites/nitrates at?

I ended up picking up a ATS (algae turf scrubber) to fight mine. It has been running for 9 days now and the algae is turning white in spots and separating off the rock.

Mine was from an over anxious tank owner (me) wanting to cycle the new rock with out cooking it and leaching out the phosphates.

Ill have to check my kit is expired dont worry about picking on me i can take it and welcome any help alot of my rock was dead rock to start with so i know some of it looks bad

Nice.. the clowns are a different color, that earlier picture, so the picture is making it looked more bleached than before. But I bet it looks much better!

Lol. This camera is suppoe to be a little better how long did u say yours deflated and inflated for when u first got it Mine is doing it at the end of each day and then back to normal in the morning mouth is fine nothing appears wrong

End of day is normal. It is adjusting the the light and zooanthae change/build.

At first it did it every few days. I was really worried. Then it went to once a week. Over about 2-3 week time frame. Now.. it only does it right after a LARGE meal (about 4-7 day digestion)

Hmmn, I would at least be prepared with a hospital tank. It has been my experience that a happy, acclimated Ritteri doesn't deflate at all. I have only had my current nem for about 6 weeks, but following a 5 day course of Cipro in my HT, it hasn't deflated at all. My prior one, in this lousy 5 year old photo never deflated once.

Is your nem deflating every day, on cycle - and does it look slightly worse, the same or better each time?

Its almost the same time each day like for most of night by morning back to normal. I do have a qt ready and cipro on hand just wondering if i should pull the trigger and treat it

That is exactly what mine was doing. Each deflation cycle was slightly worse than the one before it until one afternoon it was flat as a pancake. Figured I was too late, but nem recovered quickly with treatment. I must say, though, yours does look better in the photos than mine did, so if the deflation cycles are improving perhaps HT will prove unecessary. If, however, nem starts to look worse on deflation I would recommend treatment. Better safe than sorry.

Agree with you. Did yours eat. Mine eat a few times since its done this i am not feeding it
Now today it deflated about 4 hours ago and now its filling back up if it does it again tomorrow going to take some tank water and just do it

I only tried feeding a krill or two when it first arrived, and there was very little interest so I stopped. Post Cipro treatment the nem eats krill with gusto.

i was giving it pea sized shrimp and tuna was eating like crazy then this started so have not tried to feed again now today it is moving to higher ground still alittle deflated but noving up not down also i noticed today that my rose anemone split into 3 clones so dont know if maybe that had something to do with it did another 10 gallon water change and got water in the qt in case its need heater is on and pump is going

I went ahead and put in qt this morning and stared treatment. Was just doing the inflate and deflate each day so just wanted to do this to stop anything bad before it gets worse
