New Rose/Bubble tip.. How do i get them to attach?

...I thought you just put them on a rock...and then wait for them to locate themselves?

hmmmm my lfs guy said to lay some rubble next to them and place them on the glass???

I really need to figure this out, they are about ready to be released

I would turn down my flow and place them in the location you would like them to be, (knowing full well they will move to some where you don't want them) wait for them to attach and presto. BTW how big are those?

Good luck,
Aaron

All good so fa,r i just set them were i wanted em and they attached in about 5 minutes with flow running, i guess they are pretty hardy... They are about 3 inches in diameter. One's a tad bit smaller though. How fast do they move?

they do attach themselves. If you have a spot picked out, drill a golf ball size hole in your rock and place the anem over it. They like to have their foot protected and mine root down in it.

No, anemones are by no means hardy.

yep they jetted for cover over night!!! and my porcelin crab has found one and wont get out of it for nothing, they are both upsidown and in caves, do they not like the flow? or light? how ill they eat like this?

any suggestion on herding them, maybe by changing the flow?

From the sounds of it, they seem pretty stressed. How much flow and what kind of light are you running in your tank?

The first one i ever bought took cover in a dark cave for a week. They need time to acclimate to the new system and lighting.

by the way they look like very nice rose anemones.

They will move to where they want to be, which sometimes is in the back of the tank. They will find a spot to anchor there foot into.

Cover your powerheads or anything else that they can get sucked into.

The flow is from 1 Koralia 1 and the 2 returns that come with the Red Sea MAX.
The one with the crab has moved again, i think the crab is irretating it.
The other is in the same place... I'll get some pics asap.

Oh i have 2 T5's PC that come standard with the Red sea max

They're the species I want for my tank too...soon as it's matured int enough...gorgeous!

make sure you have reef sand or live rock with a crevice for them to put their foot in.

BTAs are not sand anemones. They'll settle on rock or the tank walls, not sand.

any obvious signs of stress? my crab is getting on my nerves, hogging it even hugging the thing closed at times, could this be a problem?
