New SPS Shadow Tank in HK

Looking good, Micheal! The 3 black holes at the bottom, what are they for? Can't wait to see the tank filled with water and stocks.

Very nicely done, I really like the rock work and your stags are my favorite. Can you talk a little about your maintaining such a great reef? Also I see your lighting looks incredible and your sps have so much much color to them. Do you feed them at all and what is your lighting set up consists off?

Nice aquascape! I'm following you from now ;)

Thank YOU.
Thanks my friend ShingShing, he is a master of aquascape designer!
He design a hugh platform from 20+ pieces of small rock:thumbsup:

Thank you.
My old tank is 85 gallon (net water)
I provide 2 x 400w HQI with 20000k (6hours) and 4 t5ho(12hours)
T5ho can provide much spectrum for coral.
1-2 week 15% WC.

Patience is the key.
Sorry for my poor english:sad1:

Wow..nice set of equipments. I wonder if you were going to add more porous rocks around that structure.

Thanks bro.
It seems not enough rock for coral placement.
I will add more rocks arround the island later.
But I will try to provide much space for the coral growth.

Yesterday is a busy day.

My friends comes together to setup the pipe system ,elect. system and the lighting system.

Thanks for them and I am going to fill in freshwater tonight for testing.:lmao:

Hi Michael

Is the return from your sump going to the three holes in the bottom of the tank or are the for a closed loop? If they are your returns, then I would not rely on that check valve as they can fail then you would have a massive flood. I would use another pump and use the holes for a closed loop.

Great electrical work and very clean!

Thanks Shaggss!
I am using that check valve for a long time, reliable and efficient!

I am also planning to setup a overflow in sump in case the valve fail.
I don't like to see any pipe in tank so I am not consider closed loop in this monment!
But it is one of my idea when I design the tank.

Send from Michael's Galaxy S3

Yesterday night start to test and clean.

Yes it looks like you are using both JIS and American plumbing! Glad you got it sorted. There is a good shop for plumbing at 929 Canton road. Rehoboth. Ask for Kim. They stock spears, GF, JIS etc......

I am glad you are happy using the check valve. I would regularly clean it though just in case!

Coming along nicely!

After few days worked!
I started the 1st day of Zevoit 14 days Schedule.
Still have long long time to finish the setup!
The Lighting System,ATO,Tunze Control etc.

Will be going with shallow reef as well in the near future. Curious to see the light hood completed? What the top looks like and what is done to dissipate the heat of bulbs? Looking good so far.....
