New tank build

Thanks man. I still have a lot of work to do, but it's mostly figuring out how to set up the reefkeeper. I might need to ask for some help on this one.

Looks great somfar! Sorry for the newb question but Is that 5 gallon jug for your ATO reservoir? What is that black washer for? I would guess to seal it?...

 Looking good Bryan, looks like everything is very well thought out. Can't wait to see what your coral & fish selection will be.

Thank you Dan. I did spend a but of time thinking out the process. As for the corals, well the same ones on your list probobalby. :spin1:

If I didn't have a budget I would be going twice as big. Really though I just took my time and looked for good deals. The tank and stand were really the only thing I bought new.

Bryan, Do you have a budget for the tank or just go as you like?

Little update

Drilled my holes for my doser and ran the lines. Now I have to dial it in the next few weeks, no rush though. Also added my bucket for my skimmer.

Small weekend update:
I went to the fish store today to get a couple things and the lady fell for a pair of clowns. I also put three green chromis in the tank earlier this week.

Quick update:
The tank has been doing great so far. I have added the clown pair and some green chromis to the tank and they are eating and looking healthy. I've been been testing the water peramiters every few days to make sure everything is stable and so far everything is holdin up. I will be adding some SPS this weekend, so lets hope they make it. Here's some photos of the rock work in the tank. I want to add a shelf rock to the very back so I have some more rock space to add corals later on.

So, today I got my first corals in the tank. I added a Willie Millie, along with a few other sps, and also a little nem. I really like the colors on it.

Gots some new updates!
I added a few things to the tank over the past few weeks. For fish I have added, purple tang, yellow tang, small school of anthias, mystery wrasse, and fathead anthias. I also added a few sps that I got from the SPS Coral Store last week. The last few days I have spent a bunch of time building the wood slats and staining them. Here's some shots I took of the finished product.

It's all in one piece. I can reach behind the tank and the sides pop off. The front comes off by pulling from the bottom. I will be using magnets for this but before I bought them I wanted to see if I liked the look. As of now Velcro is holding them on and it's actually working good.

The tank is doing great, I have close to 30 different sps, few chalices, and some zoa's. I finally got my hands on the pink panther acro so im happy about that pick up. I'm upgrading the sump and skimmers in the next couple months so I can incorporate the top-off, dosing containers, and small frag area to the sump and eliminate any clutter.
Heres a quick iPhone pic

Did you lose the Tyree Icefire Echinata in your avatar? I remember your thread from a few years back. That was such a nice piece.
