New tank pictures 90 days after set up

Gorgeous!!!

Gorgeous!!!

You have an amazing reef, great job!

I love all the angels... if I was them I'd fight for the hot-spot under the stag too :D Definite TOTM potential...

Thank You Stun. I am still having issues with the tank. I am fighting nutrients with the high fish load. I am also havining intermittent bleaching events on some of the corals
Seems to be nutrient related but the corals are doing ok. Still not going as crazy as they should but they are coming around
Most of these corals are grown from frags and some i have had for 8 or 9 years so in a year or so when they grow out the tank will be nice then .
Still learning after all these years

I love this tank. The corals look more like bushes growing on a field all spread out like that very natural looking. I hope to do a cube some day. :D

Looks fantastic Dave. I am still fighting a bit of tip bleaching also but, if it's not one thing it's another. I need to get by your house sometime.

Collins! Thanks for the kind words, yea its always something.

I need to purchase that calcium substrate from you if you still have it. I am off during the days now so lets get together.

Did you notice the old pictures of the angel in the earlier part of this post ? Its hard to believe that's the same fish.

Wow the emperator did change. What beutiful angels.....do they cause any problems in your Reef?? I would love an angel some day but I'm a scaredy cat.

You mentioned pictures of the equipment/sump etc.....I would love some of those.......your tank is amazing and I always want to see how successful people run there tank.

thanks

Amazing tanks I love it I have the same question as above about the Emperator Angel as well if he disturbs any of the corals..

The Emperator never bothers the corals. She and the majestic do go at it but not really that bad. The golden flake on the other hand will take the end off a milli branch in a second. The rabbit fishes also tend to trim the corals back. All of my nippers spend a lot of time eating slime. When they see some on a coral they are all over it and if they get some calcium too well even better. The tank is large enogh and there are enough corals that I can get away with it.
I will post some equipment and plumbing images later this week. Will also post some tank pictures form the kitchen side.
Thank you all for the kind comments. I do appreciate hearing them from fellow hobbiest.

Update on the Emperator, he still doesnt bother polyps. Instead he takes of the entire coralite and chews it up in front of me. The golden flake also eats polyps and pickes at the base of many of them incessantly. I also have a golden that grazes the corals. Its a big tank and so far they can handle it.

I have had the copperband for 5 years or so. She is gentle and she is hand fed daily. She is the only true canivore in the tank and grazes on pods constanty. She is fed fresh frozen squid and fresh fozen steamer clams. I shred the meat with a sharp knive or razor and feed it to her by hand. other wise the otehr fish would get it first. She also eats pods and lots of oher rstuff as the tank is full of critters that the fish graze on all the time. Although she loves them she seldpm gets any aptasia as the golden flake gets them first.
