I'll put more info in the build thread.

merchandising partners in Bloomfield? really? They make tanks or do they outsource them? Is there eurobracing on that tank?

Nope, they made the tank. I was actually talking to Laird Plastics first ( T5PO set me up with them ) but they outsourced it to MP.

No eurobracing, I didn't want it but they made a bracket just in case, its not shown in the picture.

How thick is the glass? I have an Oceanic "Brick Style" tank without eurobracing and my glass is 3/4 inches thick......

This is gonna be good. I've been "lurking" on RC for about a year, reading, researching for my jump into reefing. I just discovered this forum based on the east coast. It's great to read experiences from people who live nearby.

Some new images, the build thread has more info and images.

So obviously I have the tank filled, but not overflowing yet as the sump isn't ready. The skimmer is currently IN the tank rather than below it, not pulling out much but breaking in. I have the plan for the sump complete and hopefully work will start on that soon. The lights are just some NO T5s i had lying around just to provide a little illumination, they aren't final.

Very nice looking tank, how much more live rock are you going to be adding? Are you going to use a sump or refugium underneath?

Going to be moving the live rock over from my 150. Not sure if I'll be using it all because right now the 150 is your typical 'giant rock wall' and I don't want to see that in the new tank. I want plenty of open space so I will probably be making smaller mounds or pillars of rock.

I'll have a sump with integrated fuge underneath. I finalized the plans for it last night and hope to get it delivered today to get it built.

Spent all day today moving stuff into the new tank. This picture doesn't even come close to doing the tank justice...

More pictures and discussion on page 5 of the build thread.

I'm going to start doing some more photography on the new tank now that the corals are in, which lighting scheme do you guys think works best? I adjusted the blue output of the AIs while keeping the whites at 100%

I'm personally leaning toward something between 25 and 50 %.

I'd say 50% here.. I like that light blue tint in the tank. Doesn't blast the corals with blue light making them look neon, but still gives a nice little pop to the color.

Lookin great! Keep it up :)
