New tank with LED light

Im struggling to get nutrients up, I test my PO4 on a full size hana and a friends egg and get 0 to 0.01

just increased fish load so hope that helps.

im pumping in the zeo xtra, k balance, b balance and AA too to try bring nutrients up...might try turning the skimmer off for a few hours a day

Thanks for the compliment, Ive just pre-ordered the new GHL Mitras LED to play with, wanted a new toy. Have three coming so hope i get coverage.

any upcoming updates? Your tank is absolutely stunning and is making me indecisive on whether or not to switch to LEDS from T5s. Any pros overall since you've switched to LEDs?

i had the vertex illumina, wanted to try something new. I pre-order in Australia where im from so not sure where you can order them in singapore.

I do like LEDs, though T5 ive found will give you better color. I have my old ATI PM on my tank now while i wait for the GHL's, and my colors have improved after a week. its the subtle colors that show more, reds pinks purples which dont look too good under LEDs with w;b;rb colors only...thats why i want to play with the GHL as it has more colors in the unit to play with.

Cleaned the back glass and soaked the pumps....such a big difference in flow after cleaning the pumps my sand blew everywhere!

illumina is sold so my old ATI is back on until the GHL Mitras arrive.

here is a current pick

true believer in T5's, my tank gives me no opportunity for that type of lighting, and the common sense thing to do in my case would be to go led... Not sold, still rocking the 150 halide with phoenix 14k bulb... Your tank is amazing, regardless of lighting, your plan is succesfull inherintly... Great Job!

Very nice tank. My vertex illumina 260 with reds and UV is on the way. I'm changing from a T5 fixture. Any advice

I didnt have the red or violet in my illumina just the standard white/blue mix, when i moved from T5 to the illumina i slowly ramped up the schedule and intensity. starting with a max of 50% i ramped the blues up to 90% and the white to 75%. held at this intensity for 6 hours and ramped down. I had the schedule to ramp up to the max when i was at work so when i got home i had a nice color for a few hours that i could enjoy...not too yellow with the high % of whites.

also expect to lose colors going from T5 to LED, not sure on how the red / violet will effect color but i lost reds and pinks going to LED.
