New to the hobby and weird egg thing in my tank?

Hi everyone,

My tank is relatively new but it is cycled and all my parameters are solid. I randomly noticed this egg looking thing. About the size of a dime. Orange and purple. And can't for the life of me figure out what it is. Is this a pest or something good? Want to remove it before it "hatches" if it truly is an egg and something bad. Please help.

An egg like that size would drive me crazy...thinking about what is going to come out from it... I'm interested to see some responses, could it be some sponge growth?

Nice anemone BTW!

Thanks! Got lucky with the anemone that it finally picked a spot. I was worried about my corals and I wanted an anemone to get situated before I started buying more. I heard they can still move but he seems pretty contect. My only regret was relying on my reef store to give me proper information about my anemone. Turns out that Haitian Anemones don't really allow for clowns to host them. Oh well. I started with a smaller tank, so that hopefully when I am more knowledgeable I will be successful with a 150g. As far as the egg it is now MIA so I'm a little nervous!

Yes Haitian anemones don't usually host clownfish, but I saw quite many times Clarkii clownfish living in them.
