Welcome to the most expensive hobby in the world.:)

Welcome. You have already started being a "member" by contributing to this forum. There's a lot of great people in the club who are willing to give you free advice (even when you didn't ask for them ;-) ). Our meetings are on the third Friday of each month at the Roundtable Pizza located at 9500 Greenback Lane, Folsom, CA. The meeting starts at 7AM - but people a lot of people show up around 6:30ish to order pizza and socialize. When ordering pizza, tell them that you are with the MARS club, and they will give you 10% off. Also - some of the LFS give MARS member discount when you have a membership card.

Back to the meeting - the new BOD recently introduced a new format for the meeting. The first 30 - 45 minutes is dedicated to Q&A - which is great for newbies (and oldies). The meeting is also a great place where people sell and buy corals for dirt cheap. I strongly recommend that you make it to the meetings if possible. Once again - welcome aboard.

Thanks for the information! So the next meeting will be in April? Also do i need to registar on the Clubs webpage?

Welcome to the hobby :)

I checked out your pics. Looks like you should have plenty of light for some cool corals.

What color bulbs are you running?
They look like 8,500 or 10,000??
Or the white balance on your cam is way off.

Good lookin tank so far too.

Did you go through the WECA program to get your Certification for Electrical?

No its a 14k lamp im just not that great of a photographer :P I accually had a few more corals in my tank than what i have now a guy at LFS told me brass plumbing fittings are ok but what he didnt know is they are comprised of a copper/zinc alloy. :( So my tank is just starting to recover from it,

WECA well i did 1st year and part of 2nd year other than that it was all O.J.T. Got my cert last April score an 86% on the General Journeyman Test on my first attempt.
