new yellow coris wrasse

nice.. i had one that was in thriving condition..beautiful... the only day i didnt have a top on during a tank transfer found on floor next morning.. i really should have known as this fish randomly will splash the top daily.. . stupid.

Great looking fish! Is that Halichoeres chrysus? May have to add that to my list of potential acquisitions.

it appears they sent me a Halichoeres leucoxanthus (listed on LA as a Yellow & Purple Wrasse). i don't see any white coloration on the bottom half, he it totally bright yellow with 3 black dots.

That's it, right there. That's really the only difference between the two species; white belly, no white belly.
Juvi's of both species have the same eye-spots on the dorsal.
