I have one in my 40B classroom tank. I lurves him.![]()
Great looking fish! Is that Halichoeres chrysus? May have to add that to my list of potential acquisitions.
it appears they sent me a Halichoeres leucoxanthus (listed on LA as a Yellow & Purple Wrasse). i don't see any white coloration on the bottom half, he it totally bright yellow with 3 black dots.
No need for the video, as it is most definitely a Halichoeres chrysus. Though you can still post if you want since videos are still fun to watchi'm gonna post a video later to see if that's what you still say.![]()
so??
John is right.
It even hurts to think it, much less type it :love1:
She wouldn't know her wrasse from a hole in the ground.
Are you using this in teaching?
Nina, google image search Halichoeres chrysus. Small juveniles have the dots too.
well, that would make much more sense and it does look the same but this guy is 6 FEET LONG!!! how do you s'plain THAT??
That's it, right there. That's really the only difference between the two species; white belly, no white belly.what the hay am i missing?? the body shapes are similar but the dorsal fins are not. my guy has the 3 black dots on his dorsal fin and one on his tail fin. and his tum tum is NOT white. he is the identical vivid yellow color head to tail and top to bottom.
I thought only men exaggerate the length of things online...
