what kind of argonite are you using--from what you are describing it sounds like the sugar size--snails should not be stirring it up like you have described.
If it is the sugar sized then I would suggest you add 1/2 inch of medium argonite over it and that will keep it from making snow storms every time something crawls over it

with the corner tank I would be concerned about the stand--esp if there is carpet--there is usually a wooden strip running around the paremeter that anchors the carpet when they stretch it--this can cause the tank to be uneven
other wise I would want to make sure that I could get a hand down the corner side if I needed too.

Have been lurking around this Forum for about twelve months, now, and I gotta tell ya, you Reef folks really have it sorted when it come to wicked tank set-ups, DIY and convincing ones spouse to hand over the purse strings!!
As the name suggests, I don't got reef (yet), but I am learning a massive amount from all of you and I will one day take the step. Since I know bugger all about reefing, most of my posts are going to be those "Cool!", "Nice tank" types that you all love so much, but I am really just here to pick y'alls brains and show my appreciation where I can. So, be patient, please!!

Glad you started to start posting after a year of lurking. You definetly have the patience for the hobby if you spent a year on here without talking. I can't spend 1/2 hr on here without saying something
