Hello to all members!

I'm starting a new nano tank 120lit. (30g).
have:
Tunze nano skimmer (for 40 - 200lit tank)
2 x pumps 600+1000 lit/h
50w T5 white lights
50w T5 18000K + (blue) lights
heater & feeder
many cheramic reef stone (steril)
sand (steril)

My tank is long and thin (cause it is in a wall) (1000x250x600mm)

I live near the sea and are able (and willing) to bring water whenever needed.

plan to start cycling with steril sand and seastones with two live stones (with indo-.. bacterias) I will soon get.

Question: Should I try with local seawater and take it down to 1,025, or produce with salt and treated fresh water???

greetings from Croatia (Europe)

[welcome]
If you want to use saltwater from the sea (NSW) it is recommended that it is collected off shore as shore sea water contains pollutants. A good excuse to get a small boat I think!

tnx m8 for reply and helping!

that will not be a problem...
Good friend has boat at service anytime :)

I was more worried about introducing local bacteria with the water and eventually live corals and shrimps from mediterean sea into indo_ enviroment.

I'm also able to "cure" local live stone cause of cost's but is it a good idea?
If it would be... should I do it in the tank inhouse (smell?) or somewhere else?

Is aragonite sand and ceramic reef stone good base for bio life or should I use natural stones 100%?

ciao!
