Well, I just found my first bristle worm (I think) in my filter sock. I tried getting him out to add to the refugium but in my efforts to turn the filter sock inside out I cut off the last 1/2" of him I observed him for a while and got this pic:

I'm not sure if it was after I cut him in 2 but I noticed the cut off part was glowing phosphorescent blue. I wiki'd bristle worms and apparently some of them naturally do this. I'm really hoping he lives.

Bristleworms are pretty hardy.
You could probably chop him into four pieces and they would all survive.
