Next fish advice please

I'm going to be setting up a QT tank this weekend and want to start thinking about what fish I want to get next. Here is the waht I have

125 Gal with plenty of flow, skimmer, no sump. Basic light fixtures with 10,000Ks in them. Fish are two perc clowns (pair), yellow tang, blue sea star, yellow tail damsel, coral banded shrimp. Several mushrooms and a toadstool coral. Tons of life in the tank, pods every where and bunches of critters moving around. I have several snails (can't remember what type) and baby snails all over the place.

I want something that is peacfule but not shy like my yellow tang.

Thanks,
Jsoh

What size fish did you want?

Fish do vary in their shyness, even within a species, IME. Your tang might become more social, maybe not. Grammas and gobies have been pretty good for me.

I want a Flame Angle but I was told that they should be the last fish you add. I'd love a Lion Fish but wouldn't it eat everything I have that is smaller?

i have a flame and a blue regal tang. i love them both. my regal is almost 6 inches and as blue as can be. my flame is as red as fire....

Swallowtail angel, Peaceful, colorful and reef safe! Here is a picture of mine...

Get a Flame! Mine was one of the first I added to my tang. Yeah he was a bully to every new fish I added at first but then he just became buddy buddy with everyone! Every fish is different though. I hear if you buy a few small flames and add them to a tank at the same time they will live happily.

You should get a blenny. I want one bad, but have to wait till well you know lol. I actually get water in there. The store has a rusty angel up there a few days ago. What about him???

I'd rather not buy from them anymore. If you look close at their fish you alot of times you can see they look terrible, not too mention if you talk to them you will notice that none of the people who take care of their salt sections really "know" what they are talking about and that is coming from someone that has only been doing this for less than six months.

I just talked with the guy I was telling you about in New Bern and he is getting a bunch of stuff in tomorrow. He said he is going to have a shipment of small blue tangs (regal) that he will be asking $20 each and will give a discount for 3 or more, so now I'm just trying to research them a little more.

Yeah I understand you on that lol. Have you talked to Larry up there yet? He knows his stuff, but like most old men I think hes going crazy sometimes lol.

well on something larry knows what he is talking about but on other's he's out in left field, and on top of that he's trying to sell you something so he's going to do what he has to to get a sale.

Larry doenst work there tho. I mean he does, but Hes only hired there for keeping the fish happy. He only comes in for water changes, dosing and emergencies.
I agree a few things he goes off into left field on lol but like I said hes old. It happens lol.
When are you making this trip to NewBern? If possible Id like to catch a ride with you if possible to check out what they have. Most of my coral tho will be coming from my cousins best friends coral farm in VA Beach.

How about a black and white heniochus (bannerfish)? They are stunning and peaceful fish and are easy to keep. I bought one about a year ago for my FO tank. After six weeks in QT I placed him into the tank, only to be killed by my Clarkii Clown. I still feel bad about it. If I ever get rid of the Clarkii I am getting another Bannerfish!
