Next Meeting Group Snail Buy

dl1030 - Are you still planning on bringing the order to w-loo? Might be easiest to drop off at Xroads shop (if he doesn't care) and then everyone can pick up the stuff there.
 
I have a trip that has come up last minute, matter of fact I found out today at 245 that I was travelling at 415, Im on the plane now.

Anyway, could one of the people from the davenport area get my snails and crabs and hold them till friday or saturday when I return from Reno?

I would really appreciate it if there is someone that could.

How are we going to handle pickup of our snails? Dave spoke
about driving to the Davenport. If that's his plan we could all
chip in a few bucks for his gas. He sounds like he'll be going
to the Waterloo area so were going to find out if when he'll be
in our area and have someone available to meet him. Or if he'll
be in Iowa City and what time he'll be there. I get off at 3:30
and could run up to IA City then if need be.
 
Sorry I have not been around here much in the last couple days. I have been at a car show/vacation in Charlotte Noth Carolina. I am back now and the snails are here. lots of them!!

W-Loo, I can run your snails up there today and drop them off at x-road';s shop. I will be leaving in a few minutes. What is the name of the shop, and directions???

well, Keys critters did not send half the order. I started counting everything out and I am missing all the blue legs, 120 ceriths and about 300 astrias. everyones emeralds crabs showed up though. this is such bu!! sh!t. I need to get all of these out of the house and then next week i will have to deal with the same crap when the other half arrives. I am not driving to waterloo this morning, i need to get this worked out and figure out what is going to happen. I will give updates as the morning progresses.

Or at least a package to each area, w-loo, IC, etc..

If they're willing to do that, they could be shipped to my place (i'm home during the day) and then I could drive them to w-loo and drop them off at xroads place or something.

We did ship both boxes. As a matter of fact, both boxes were packed with our usual high standards, taken to Fedex in plenty of time, and scanned and loaded onto the plane by Fedex in Marathon, Florida - as the tracking number shows when you enter it into FedEx tracking.

Dave, when you calm down, let us know and we will work with you, just like we always do.

As far as I've been able to tell from FedEx, the box is in Memphis waiting to get out and on to you. We pack all club orders for two days anyway. People pick them up after work, are late on their own, and - as you can see - things happen.

Just let me know when it gets there, we have no control over Fedex.

Sorry I think I cursed this. This is the 3rd order from different Vendors that got lost in the black hole that is Memphis. I am starting to hate Fed Ex.
 
Since we are all making accusations here, maybe it would be good to see the tracking numbers of the packages listed here so that all can verify where the snafu is.

This would certainly put the responsibility where it is due, be it Fed Ex or Keys.

It also depends on if it was overnight, or priority. Wierd though how they can get you one package & delay the other that was shipped together.
 
I believe it says on the Keys website that they ship everything FedEx Priority Overnight. Since one of our packages has not been delivered by the published delivery time (10:30AM), I am assuming that we are eligible for a refund by FedEx for the shipping charges on that box. As far as I know, the shipper has to file the claim for a refund, so Keys would have to take care of that.

I was really happy with the snails that I got there good sized, and alive.....and who here hasn't had Fed Ex blow a delivery before........Hey dave I have a yellow w/white polyp toadstool leather if you want it for your troubles today
 
The box did not show up, I asked both the lady who deleviered the box and the fedex lady on their hotline. Both said the same thing, there was not another box. The label also showed 1 of 1. I had nothing to go on beside what they told me as you did not give me a call or send me an email until 3 this afternoon. If everything was dead in my box i have a couple hours.

fedex said to expect the other box to show up tomorrow by 10:30 but could not give me anything exact. I am ****ed more about the multiple trips, than items not arriving.

as for the locals give me a call, the hotlines are open
 
The snails i got got were awesome, bigger than expected and healthy. I totally appreciate you going through all the trouble for us. Im sure i could frag you something for your troubles as well.

Just let me know.
