Nine peppermint angels!!!!

The expers can correct me if I am wrong but this is my understanding about the Narcosis on DD. It was collected by Rich Pyle. He gave it to Chip who then sold it to QM who then sold it to DD. I dont think Rich would of charged for the catch of it but I know Chip and QM would of made something.

we really gotta know who every top fish is offered to you :) or at least show us some pictures man :)

Not every fish is offered to me and I never said all were. If you do some digging you can find where I posted about the narcosis being offered before DD had it up for sale. The fish was at QM and that's where it was offered to me. Of course there was a middle man between me and QM. A few of the other fish I have mentioned, I also posted about before they were up for sale to the public. I even wrote who was going to have them for sale.

I believe if you develop a great relationship with wholesaler you get offer some fish before the public ..

Most retailers/wholesalers will ask around to see if there are any buyers for rare fish to gauge a price before they buy it. Most never actually talk to the collector/wholesaler that is offering the fish in the first place. If someone comes back and says yes i'll take it for x amount, then they will call and try to get it... This is most likely the case with Jaa and old town aquarium he buys from. The mark up for everyone is different, and its becomes much lower if the handling time is decreased (ie: trans shipped or out of bag sales) Tanking, acclimating feeding etc all add costs to the fish. So a 3k wholesale fish could end up being 4-10k depending on how it is handled.

My LFS in Boston was called to get one but he just moved stores and did not want to risk losing a VERY expensive fish during the move

A few pictures of the one that Living Reefs has in Orlando. It was very cool to see a fish I've been wanting to see for 10+ years, but never thought the opportunity would present itself.

It was between 1.5-2", closer to 2" TL.

They said it was starting to pick at frozen brine and has been getting more comfortable every day. I did see it picking at the rock and tank surfaces pretty often.

Dang, that's the perfect size. Hopefully it'll start eating well.

Does anyone know if the Peppermints and other deep sea catches were decompressed over a number of hours or if they were needled? And if they were needled were they treated for infection afterwards?

Any updates? I notice the NYA one is no longer listed. How's the one in FL doing?
