Nine peppermint angels!!!!

I didn't see this fish do anything in this video, but I could watch it over and over, she is such a beautiful fish
it is eating....the food can't be seen though..most likely a mobile ph. video, hence such resolution..

Has anyone got updates on feeding these deep sea gems. I am ment to be getting mine this week or next into the uk. Just being reading and reading has anyone wormed or used any antibiotic s?

Thanks for any help on these

so far from all those who have got one of these, the gist is that the fishes have accepted newly hatched brine shrimps, reef nutrition's artic pod, cyclopeeze, frozen brine(varying from case to case)..nobody used antibiotic to the best of my knowledge...

since yours is coming this late,i guess they must be from BH..anyway you should ask the seller about what it was eating previously...

peppermint angels = most overrated creature in the ocean

30K for a fish, seriously? smh

'Overpriced'... Ok, that's a 'widely held' opinion
'Overrated' ... ???? IMO, if it was a readily available/inexpensive fish, it would be on almost everyone's 'must have' list! ... It's a beautiful fish!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Also, there are people that think 2.2M for a car is a steal, but don't hear many complaining that it is the most overrated vehicle on the road.

You have to ask yourself what is the enjoyment you get out of owning such a unique specimen. Also, for the very VERY few that have ever owned or seen this fish, I am sure that the high price tag was worth EVERY penny.

There are quite a few fresh water arowana that have sold for 10 to 50 times the amount of a Boylei, and trust me, they are not as striking as this little beauty...

:blown:

So when last have you done a 400 ft + dive? If it was easier to get the pricing would be less. If things go south at that depth, you are in trouble. That's why they are not your bicolor or coral beauty angel, available in thousands!

You are way off, $ 30k is a crazy price, do yourself a favour and give Rufus or Koji a call. They will set you straight.

Lets get back on topic guys, don't feed the trolls.

How many of the fish do we have accounted for? How many were originally available (definitely 9?). I feel like we pretty much have all of them accounted for right here on this thread which is crazy!

1 - Humaguy (RIP)
1 - NYAquatic (RIP?)
2 or 3? - hedgedrew
1 - coralfriend
1 - lawson1
1 - chingchai
1 - store in orlando

Hedgedrew had 1 death..now 2 surviving...don't know what happened to the fish that went to Orlando...Ching has not updated in past 2 weeks..

Karren was holdin one for Rufus but I don't know the final destination for that one. The one at lro according to thier last update is still doing well

Talking to Koji in Greenwich, 2 weeks ago, it sounded like there were a few more than the 9... But Andrew ( hedgedrew) probably knows better...

The one I took care of went to hedgedrew. I've been missing her and am wondering how's she's doing. I had heard that she and his other peppermint were not getting along.

Hedgedrew said that the new pep is getting along with the old one. He broke through the tank divider and so far no issues with the two together.

I will let you know if it turns up I am ment to be getting a jap angle as well!
So I have my fingers crossed. Dose anyone know a wholesale that will deal with me in the uk that can get hold of top end corals and fish. I have my import licences sorted.

Sound like no one has wormed them then.

Hey guys. Im sorry to say karens pep did not make it. Wether itvwas stress from getting beat on from my pep or not. Im sure it was a swim bladder issue as fish got swollen and was always swimming up. I think the flight may have also had something to do with it. Now since then i have. New little misbarred guy from koji and they are doing well together. So i have pep 1 and pep 3 still. Both doing great.

Koji had 2 separate clients lastvweek that both lost theirs after large water changes. He begged me to use the nutrawater ie natural seawater I told him that tank was connected to my 1500gall system. He then told me all the fish died with instant ocean after 25 to 40 per water changes not sure why but this is what happened. I think its justvsuper sensitive to change. I do 200 gallons at time on 1500 and use esv and have had no issues like this.
